Before the rain

Rain droplets

Summer's humidity and heat has now engulfed my subtropical city.
The drizzle and cloudy sky allowed me to explore the possibility of a vintage lens adapted to work on my modern camera.

I don't often photograph in an urban environment since most of my free time is spent away from the city, in nature. There is a real challenge for me to "see" an interesting subject in the visual clutter of concrete, glass and steel.

Kiss in the rain

The day started sunny but heavy clouds gathered after lunch.
We paddled an open stretch of water when the storm hit and lightening was around us.
Reaching the shore was a relief.
